BigChange Release 23.02

Release

Release 23.02 is the second release of the year and contains some big additions to the BigChange system. Users will have seen these changes added to their system since 6th March.

BigChange is Carbon Neutral

Big on Sustainability is one of our core values at BigChange. Last year we worked to track all of our emissions across our business and supply chain with the help of carbon assessment and offsetting specialists, Go Climate Positive. We have now offset our 2021 emissions to become a certified Carbon Neutral business for that year and set targets and action plans to reduce our emissions per licence as we grow. Travel accounted for 45% of our emissions in 2021, but we don’t want to stop visiting our customers or collaborating in our office in Leeds, so we are investing in EV pool cars and a green travel scheme for our employees. We were pleased to learn that all of our AWS servers are powered by green energy and will be working with our other suppliers to look at their carbon footprint.

Understanding and reducing our own emissions is important, but the biggest impact we can have is by helping our customers on their sustainability journey. Eliminating paper use, improving visibility and reducing mileage and wasted journeys is at the heart of what we do – but we aim to do more. We have recently improved the Route Optimiser functionality and are working on business intelligence dashboards and exploring further improvements to our scheduling tools.
