Role and Responsibilities:

Job Title: Digital Learning Designer

Reporting Line: Customer Learning Manager

Summary of Role:  This role will have the primary responsibility to design and create best in class digital learning content for BigChange customers, partners and employees.

You’ll need demonstrable experience of all aspects of instructional design and content development.  The content you’ll be creating is for a SaaS product that changes rapidly, so you’ll need to be proactive and resilient.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Produce detailed storyboards and design documentation to create engaging learning content.
  • Create digital learning content including video tutorials and software simulations using Adobe Captivate software and our LMS content authoring tool.
  • Use the BigChange brand, tone of voice, graphics, software simulations and videos to design and develop best in class digital content to support customer needs and business OKRs.
  • Translate customer learning requirements and business OKRs into effective learning solutions. 
  • Research content and collaborate with subject matter experts to transform knowledge and existing content into compelling and engaging learning experiences.
  • Work with the Onboarding team to ensure BigChange University provides the best possible initial training to new customers and accelerates the onboarding process.
  • Work cross functionally with both customers and the Customer Success team to ensure learning content is suitable to support those wishing to realise more value from the BigChange Platform. Learning is aimed towards maximising customer value through feature use/adoption, customer education for new feature releases and support for best practice product utilisation.
  • Continually develop personal knowledge of design and content development technologies.
  • Link learning needs to learning objectives, incorporating different learner styles and accessibility requirements.
  • Monitor learning effectiveness, learner engagement and satisfaction.
  • Propose new design and development approaches to the Customer Learning Manager.
  • Lead on the design and development of inclusive learning solutions ensuring full compliance with leading accessibility standards.
  • Maintain relevant documents, templates and digital assets related to the BigChange University learning content.
  • Contribute to the development of the BigChange Help Centre to compliment and augment BigChange University and promote self-serve learning.
  • To act in the best interests of BigChange at all times.

Personal situationNon-office based persons will be required to travel to the Leeds office as required from time to time. You should ensure you have the ability to travel to the office when required.
